“Mentoring is the cultivation of young adults, the tender caring for and nurturing of them so that they will grow, flourish, and be fruitful.”
― Jeff Myers, Cultivate: Forming the Emerging Generation through Life-on-Life Mentoring
The youth have a special place within the Church. While some may know their calling and others may be on the road to discovering it, the Youth Department stands ready to cultivate, guide, and inspire the NOW generation to the place where God has called them to be. With programs and initiatives covering every age group, the OKSE Jurisdictional Youth Department is a haven for young people ages three through twenty-one to express themselves creatively, spiritually, and openly. A few of our signature programs and initiatives include Young Men of Valor, Young Women of Excellence, COGIC Girls Rock!, and Young Women in Ministry. We also have age-specific initiatives such as YAM (Young Adult Ministry for ages 18+) and Children’s Ministry (ages 3 through 12).
